Abortion Rights in France : Macron has played a key role behind the seal of approval for women’s abortion rights.

Revolutionary change in women’s day in France. In the right to abortion is included the country’s constitution. The government of President Emmanuel Macron also included that the right of abortion for female citizens of the country in the constitution. As a result, France made history as the first country to enshrine the constitutional right to abortion (Right to Abortion).

Macron has played a key role behind the seal of approval for women’s abortion rights. Not only in France, but in the whole of Europe, he will be in favor of the right of women to have an abortion. That is why he approved the amendment to the country’s constitution at the beginning of this week. It was finally sealed on Friday (Abortion Rights in France).

Women’s Day, On this Friday, after the right to abortion was included in the constitution, Macron said that he is in favor of abortion rights for women throughout the European Union. The right to abortion is among the fundamental rights of women. He will go as far as necessary for this. In Makren’s words, “The story is not over today. A new battle began. We will lead this fight across the subcontinent, where women’s rights continue to erode.”

However, abortion has been legal in France since 1975. But last year, Macron said women would have state protection not only for abortion rights, but also for surgical procedures. He said that he will not back down from the constitutional amendment to reach this goal. Last Monday, the parliament of the country voted on the issue, and both houses approved it. Subsequently, abortion was also included in the ‘guaranteed liberty’ under Article 34 of the Constitution.

Although advanced in many ways, America’s politics on abortion remains ambivalent. One side claims that women have full right to make decisions regarding their own body and health, while the other side is against feticide. There is a constant conflict with that. From that point of view, France surpassed the developed countries including America. Not only was the right to abortion constitutionally recognized, women were also brought under government protection in surgery.

However, there is controversy over this decision of Macron. 85 percent of the country’s citizens, however, are in favor of this decision. But according to Macron’s critics, abortion is already legal in France. So there was no need to amend the constitution. Macron has taken this decision with his own political future in mind and to build a liberal image, his critics alleged.
